A
local group of Allis-Chalmers collectors always brings a good
bunch of A-C tractors, implements and literature. This year was no exception. |
The
Empire Tractor Club
assembled a very nice display of these unique tractors. Another example of the great variety at the Pageant of Steam. |

Here is
the 21-75 Baker owned by the NYSEA plowing.
It has taken many volunteered hours to get this engine back running to its full capacity. Mike McCauley and Nick Stanley are running the Baker through it's paces with Dave Shearn's 8-bottom John Deere plow. |
Organizers
in the gas engine department set up this display of 10
horsepower IHC M as one of the features of the '07 Pageant of Steam. |

This steam
powered ammonia refrigeration compressor was donated to the
NYSEA years ago. Until this past summer, it has sat rusted and idle. But now, because of the hard work put in by John Muck, this is now another operating engine in the stationary steam building. |
The
many operating stationary steam engines are supplied steam
from the 150 HP Lucy boiler. Four days of steaming leaves little left of this wood pile |

Even
this old Hart-Parr gets a work-out in the plow field.

Outside
the sawmill building,
Dan Dale and John Leck discuss how well Dan's "Lively" stationary engine handles the edger. Dan provides steam to the "Lively" with his 50 HP Case traction engine. |
The
Graves family spends many hours
throughout the show demonstrating their Associated two-cylinder engine powered shingle mill. Here is Bill Graves peeling off a shingle. |

Many
were treated to this rare setup-
Ed Dina's 25-45 IHC Mogul tractor belted to an IHC threshing machine. Matt Dina engineered while the tractor was put to use threshing wheat. Photo by John Leck. |
Just
a few yards away from the shingle mill
is the steam powered lumber mill. The various traction engines on the grounds take turns running the mill. Here is Bob Bishman taking a slab cut. |
